The Poll Question

Loren seems to think the question somewhat ambiguous, and has requested we clearify it. In our opinion, the question really doesn't have anything to do with the actor, but if you think there is a drastic gulf between the two actors, then it may effect your vote. As far as Charles being stupid because he didn't kill Mitch, there are several things we will bring to your attention. Mitch was placed in the Witness Protection Program, because of fear that Novacom would kill him. For another thing Charles wasn't the head guy for Novacom, which means he couldn't just do whatever he thought was best. This would play very well into Charles killing the chairman to gain control, if they revive the Novacom saga. That would also put Charles even farther ahead of Blackgaard. He showed he would kill when Mitch's friend was run off the road and killed. Also, there's no way the Odyssey writers would kill dear Robert. Later, after Charles bribed Rudy Sutton to get him out of prison in the garbage truck, it was to his best interest to have Mitch and Rudy as hostages. You must remember if it weren't for that dinky little kick-the-tail-light-out-and-wave-you-hand-trick, Charles would have gotten to Mexico scot-free with two insurance policies. In our opinion yet another plus for Charles is the fact that he doesn't have that laugh, which totally negates any degree of coldness Blackgaard had achieved:-) Neither does Charles have an awful cat named Sasha. We could raise other points in favor of Charles, but we will abstain, since you're all probably tired of hearing our opinions.

  1. Well as far as the cat thing goes, that makes him even more evil, because cats are evil, and he owned a cat, therefore EVIL

  2. You made my poin precisely for if charles had killed mitch he could have gotten away without mitch ruining it for him. Also the good Dr.'s laugh is one of the things that makes him so increadibly evil and i agree with meghan when she says that cats are evil and Doc having a cat makes him even more evil. As far as charles not being allowed to kill goes... charles was the enforcer and had a great deal of autonomy and general latitude as to who he iced.

  3. I voted for Blackgaard because I followed Odyssey more closely during his tenure on the show. I enjoyed the episodes with him more. And, as far as I'm concerned, having a cat made him even more evil because I DON'T like cats! He also had an awesome evil laugh! So there! ;P

  4. Also, what kind of evil name is "Bennet Charles"? I can never remember if it's Bennet Charles or Charles Bennet. But, Regis Blackgaard, now THAT'S an evil name and one that you definitely will not forget!

  5. I voted for Blackgaard primarily because his character has been developed much better than Bennet Charles. We hardly know anything about Mr. Charles yet. Maybe when we learn more about him he will become more sinister.

  6. I voted for Blackgaard, as I said before, partly because of his name. The "Dr." prefix makes him sound intelligent and calculatingly evil. Also "blackguard" means scoundrel, implying his intrinsic evilness, and implicates his ancestors as well. The name Bennet Charles sounds backwards. I forgot about the cat, but that also helps my defense. I used to own a black cat, which doesn't make ME evil, but she had a real evil streak in her - she ruined some good furniture with her razor-sharp claws. I've only heard Novacom once, but I grew up listening to Blackgaard stories, so I remember more about him. He's a good bad guy. }8-{ As Stan said, maybe Bennet will wax worse and worse and I will have to change my vote someday.

  7. okay i voted for mr charles bennett. now as to my logic for my choice. dr. blackgaard was absolutely pathetic how he kept living on even though he was dead through the imagination station. if it wasnt for that absolutely pathetic plot line i would vote the other way but that was the final straw for blackgaard. also charles was slick modern and he escaped from prison so much better than blackgaard. aaahhh! not to mention he was an enforcer and actually sounded for real. blackgaard was so ridicoulous and pathetic so to sum it up i vote for mr charles bennett

  9. Wow, Jared just made my point! Even he can't remember whether it's Bennet Charles or Charles Bennet....and he VOTED for him! Like I said, to be a true villian people have got to remember your name! I rest my case!!!! }:>

  10. Alright slick (Jared) you are way out in left . Charles couldn't fight his way out of a wet paper bag. As for the reason Charles hasn't been in as many episodes as Blackguard... CHUCKY BOY WAS CAUGHT SO FAST THEY COULDN'T USE HIM ANYMORE! The stooge was such a sloppy criminal he couldn't even keep the story going more than what like three albums??? (i forget how many) As far as the so called ridiculous strategies go i don't think anyone would disagree that odyssey is in a little world of its own. I don't know who their research people are but they are not doing much research. That being said the Blackguard saga has actual elements of reality in its unrealistic state. (if that makes any sense) the novacom saga is a stab at real mystery and intrigue but they simply couldn’t pull it off.
